Bloom privacy policy

Effective 26 October 2026 · Applies to the Bloom app for Android and iOS (package dev.isuru.bloom)

In short: Bloom does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising.

What you enter

Period dates and flow, symptoms, moods, discharge, sexual activity, ovulation tests, basal temperature, notes, pregnancy dates, kick-counter sessions, an optional first name and your settings. This information is stored only in Bloom's private storage on your device, which other apps cannot read.

What we collect

Nothing. Bloom has no internet permission and contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or other third-party SDKs that collect data. We, the developer, never receive your data.

Backups and export

Bloom's data is excluded from Google cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. If you choose Export backup, Bloom writes a file to the location you pick. That file is under your control; anyone with access to it can read it.

Permissions

Notifications: to show the reminders you turn on. Biometrics: to unlock Bloom when you enable App lock; the check is done by the operating system and Bloom never receives fingerprint or face data. Run at startup: to restore your reminders after the phone restarts.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall Bloom. Either removes everything from the device permanently.

Children

Bloom is not directed to children under 13.

Health information

Predictions are estimates based on the dates you log. Bloom is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice and must not be used as contraception. Talk to a healthcare professional about any concerns.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published in the app and on this page with a new effective date.
